The Emergence Group is a Navajo led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that builds momentum toward solutions to economic challenges. The solutions address economic growth and are led by Native voices and supported by collaborators from business, government, and non-profit communities.
OUR ROOTS
Emergence is a central theme in Native creation stories. The deities and beings struggle in a World, meet and overcome obstacles then move to another World providing more opportunities and unique struggles. Emergence Group has either lived the same experiences as Navajo on the Navajo Nation or has viewed these struggles clearly through discussions with business, government, non-profits and others trying to make an impactful difference. The clearest call from all stakeholders is that “we want to make a difference for our communities.” Our roots grow down into this fertile soil and work with the stakeholders to determine what it means and how it can best be achieved.
HOW WE SUPPORT
COLLABORATION
We look to identify and leverage the work that individuals, businesses, non-profits and governments are doing to build a knowledge base and to develop impactful projects that create that align with the goals of each participating organization and create momentum. The more we work together, the more we can multiply our impact in communities.
BUSINESS SUPPORT
We work to identify and support community members who seek to expand their business-related opportunities or businesses.
INTERGENERATIONAL CHANGE
We work with communities to promote learning of skills and leadership development that can support economies in the future because economic stability will not come with a single generation of entrepreneurs.
